I currently work in Canada, what route would be best to become a Permanent resident?

{"ops":[{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"The answer to this is not a straightforward answer, as it depends on several factors such as Province you live in, the pathway through which you entered Canada, the type of occupation, age, the level of education and if you have enough points to be invited through Express Entry system."},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nYou might be wondering, so even after being in Canada, these factors matter like when I was outside, the answer is a resounding YES!"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\n\nSo, let’s get into it:"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Current Province you reside in"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify","list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"  "},{"insert":"Most provinces offer an opportunity to those who work and live in them to obtain Permanent Residency after meeting certain criteria, like    minimum number of months or years they should have worked, the type of occupation they are in, if they have previously schooled in the province. For instance, Ontario currently has an Employer Job Offer stream: In-Demand Skills stream which allows people in agriculture, construction, trucking or personal support work with a job offer in Ontario to qualify to be nominated. Alberta has a student path for those who graduated and are working in almost any occupation, those with job offers and so on to be nominated. These are just some examples, other provinces have similar options as well."},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Initial Entry Pathway into Canada: "},{"attributes":{"align":"justify","list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"If you came into Canada originally as a student, your options may be slightly different than someone who got a job offer from overseas or the person who is on a Spousal Open Work Permit. For instance, all provinces have a pathway for international students who have graduated in the province. Manitoba, Atlantic provinces and Alberta do not discriminate on the occupation you work in even if it is an “unskilled job” and most occupations are eligible. Points received do differ based on whether you are skilled or unskilled and may affect how fast you are nominated, but provided you have at least 2 - 3 years Post Graduate Work Permit, you should be fine. This is why we always recommend that you know your end goal before choosing a province, school in Canada."},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n\n"},{"insert":"Provinces like Ontario, British Columbia on the other end are often very selective rendering a lot of the people who may have schooled there without the option of Provincial Nomination because they are not in the occupations in demand. Ontario’s emphasis has been Tech and Health and people in Social sciences, Finance, Business have been left out for the last few years. It is also a similar experience with British Columbia."},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Occupations in Demand under Express Entry"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify","list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"       "},{"insert":"There are 6 categories for invitation via the Express Entry outside of the general draws, these include"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"STEM "},{"attributes":{"align":"justify","list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Health (includes Nurses, Education Counselors etc)"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify","list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Trades (includes plumbers, Carpenters, contractors etc)"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify","list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Agriculture (only 3 NOCs, Butchers, contractors and farm supervisors)"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify","list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"French (those with French abilities similar to write the English test)"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify","list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Transport (Truck Drivers, Air pilots)"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify","list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"It should be noted that Air pilots were previously never considered and so this inclusion under Transport is a welcome development. Similarly, Butchers, Truck Drivers who were previously excluded are now included."},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nIt should also be noted that being in one of these fields is not enough, you need to consider your points. The points for STEM are in the 480”s hence benefiting those with Canadian work experience, Masters, PhD and/or younger people. While Transport, Agriculture, Trades and French allows people even in their late 40’s to qualify because the points are in the low 300’s. Health is in the 400’s offering a bit of an option for people who may be older or without a Masters. If you are in one of these occupations, then Express Entry might be the choice for you."},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Occupations in Demand in different Provinces"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify","list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"As already mentioned above, some provinces have occupations in demand based on you working there. This means that if you are currently in a province that is not favorable for you, you might want to consider relocating to another province. But before you do, you need to be sure that the eligibility factors in the other province won’t count you out."},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"For instance, if you graduated from any other Province and then move to Alberta, you can "},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"never be invited"},{"insert":" to apply, this is because Alberta uses this to discourage people from moving from other provinces into its province even though they live and work here. Similarly, spouses are not eligible. The only exception is the Alberta Tech Pathway, which doesn’t take into account your current status. "},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nProvinces like Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Atlantic provinces are still favorable and do not have the restrictions Alberta has, just ensure you are in their occupations in Demand before moving."},{"attributes":{"align":"justify"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nIn conclusion, this is why it is very important, especially those coming in as students, to be fully aware of their path to Permanent Residency before making a school choice.
